The entire Dove Church Family is invited to a celebration of Passover with a complete Seder meal. During Passover, we remember God's miraculous provision for Israel and the ultimate sacrifice of His Son by eating special foods and telling the story of Israel's freedom. The book of Exodus, chap 12:14 reminds us that "This will be a day for you to remember and celebrate as a festival to Adonai, from generation to generation you are to celebrate it by a perpetual regulation."
Come eat, tell stories, sing, dance, and laugh with us!
Part of the beauty of Passover centers around the food served. These foods need to be Biblically kosher and Passover compliant. This is not at all difficult! Basically just think no pork (no bacon!), no shellfish, and no leavening (baking soda, baking powder, yeast). The church will provide table service, all the Seder elements, and a basic meal of turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Please bring side dishes and desserts to accompany this basic meal and share with our family. Each family is also asked to bring a pair of candles with holders for their table. If your child uses a high chair, we ask that you bring one as well.
